The Ascend products are not all designed from Ascend. Some periphal products are bougt like the huge Cascade routing switches and the strange MAX 200 and 800. The original Ascend routers are developed and designed from the low end to the midrange. Ascend did start with the big TNT lately. The roumors about some Ascend internals grow more and more.

- cvMAX 100 Layer-3 Device A compact, high-performance Layer-3 device that terminates VPN sessions.Primarily targeted at service providers for cost-effective sessions termination and service management but can also be used by carriers and transport providers for sessions aggregation termination and routing services.
